Graphic Design Portfolio

Client: Patrick Meyers Woodcraft and Design, Inc.
Business type: custom cabinetry and woodcraft
Project: logo design
The goal: Design and implement a logo that represents creative woodcraft in general and specifically the Patrick Meyers Woodcraft emphasis on green-sourced lumber products.
The result: The leaf itself represents trees in general and thus the fundamental basis of woodworking. The stylized nature of the leaf image suggests Patrick Meyers' creative design and exacting production standards, while the arrows themselves are reminiscent of the recycling symbol, calling to mind environmental responsibility and the Patrick Meyers committment to sustainable forest practices.
The implementation: The new Patrick Meyers Woodcraft and Design, Inc. logo is now displayed on the company's website and on the President's new business cards.

Client: T. Ray and the Shades
Business type: blues band
Project: logo and live album cover design
The goal: Project the band's personality with a new logo and capture the spirit of their lively Saint Patrick's Day performance with a simple, eye-catching design
The result: Basementia's colorful logo design exemplifies both the bright sunny rays of T. Ray and the late night groove of The Shades, with a graphic that shows the sun and the stars through images and color.
The implementation: The new logo design was the main image on the front cover of T. Ray and the Shades' new album, Live at Wild Winds, released on the Burn One record label. The CD is available through the online distribution services of Basementia Records.
The band has also had 100 full-color stickers of the logo with their website printed on outdoor vinyl, which they are selling at their shows. Perhaps most exciting of all, the band has had a 5 foot by 3 and a half foot vinyl banner printed with the same image in glorious full color, to hang on the wall at the back of the stage while they play.

Client: Basementia Publications
Business type: small press publishing house and distribution firm
Project: cover design for new book, "The Military-Industrial Complex"
The goal: Capture the spirit of the book's contents along with the mental image conjured by the subject matter
The result: The cartoonish cold-war era missiles and stencilled lettering combine with the olive-drab color scheme to suggest the deep psychological and cultural mythology that has both arisen from and given rise to the phenomenon of the military-industrial complex.
The implementation: The book has been published by Basementia Publications and is now available through the Online Bookstore.
